Job Listing Spam

I received this in my inbox today:

NYPD, Police Jobs

It was from MarketingJobs.com. I shouldn’t really need to elaborate on this more but I will. Why is a website touting to provide me with marketing job listings sending me information about becoming a POLICE OFFER? Nothing against the NYPD and no disrespect to the job of police officers but this is completely useless.

  • That's interesting. I'm surprised no one has left a comment about this - especially job seekers. It's hard enough to hunt these days - and now your inbox is filled with useless job stuff that you have to sift through. Or, maybe they're suggesting a career change? :-)

    it but think that if you have a focus, such as marketingjobs suggests, and
    then stray from that because of shortsighted revenue you're only
    going to be damaging yourself in the long run.

    A career change would be exciting but if they saw me they wouldn't want me
    to be a cop ;)
