I consider myself to be ‘above average’ at a number of different skills; guitar, Fifa 09′, web-analytics, impressions of Indian people, and my favorite – walking on my hands, are just a few I can think of off the top of my head. However, I’m also good at recognizing things that I am not good at and one of them happens to be creating cool-ass illustrations of political figures. Lucky for me, my friend Sheldon fits this bill perfectly.
Sheldon is an amazingly talented illustrator and designer for both print and digital mediums and created the artwork you see above. This illustration of Obama blows me away and I love how he’s rocking the loosened tie while looking ready to take on the tough issues (as well as questions from dumb journalists about A-Rod).
There were so many requests to turn this into a shirt that Shel’ decided to do just that. You can get your own for only 9 bucks. That’s less than the cost of the quesadilla I had for lunch today!
